Cancel before it renews
Trials are designed to outlast your memory. Put the cancel-by date in a text reminder the day you sign up, not the day the charge hits.
Trials and annual plans
When you start a trial, create a reminder for two days before it ends. Include the service name and where to cancel. One active reminder on the free plan is enough for the next trial.
After you cancel
Complete the reminder from the text so it does not fire again. If the trial converts to yearly, set a new reminder a month before renewal.
