Privacy Policy

Depending on how you use RemindViaText, we may collect:

• Your phone number
• Authentication and session data
• Your timezone
• Reminder title, message, schedule, recurrence, status, and actions you take on reminders
• Delivery attempts, timestamps, provider message IDs, and delivery errors related to SMS
• Monthly SMS usage counts
• Inbound message IDs and commands you send by SMS
• SMS opt-out state (for example, whether you have replied STOP or START)
• Short-link tokens and activity related to those links
• IP address used temporarily for rate limiting and abuse prevention
• Stripe customer ID, subscription ID, subscription status, billing period information, and Stripe event IDs
• Name or email address if you choose to provide them (for example, in support)

When you send inbound SMS commands, we process the message body to fulfill the command (such as STOP, START, or HELP), but we do not retain inbound message bodies in our inbound-message table.

Payment card details are collected and processed directly by Stripe. We do not receive or store your full card number.

We use the information we collect to:

• Authenticate you and maintain your account session
• Schedule, send, and manage SMS reminders
• Process inbound SMS commands
• Operate short-link reminder actions
• Administer subscriptions and billing
• Enforce plan usage limits
• Provide customer support
• Protect the security of the service and prevent abuse
• Troubleshoot delivery and technical issues
• Comply with legal obligations
• Send service-related communications about your account or the service

Transactional text messages are sent when you request a one-time password for sign-in or when reminders you create become due. Message frequency varies based on your reminders and account activity. Message and data rates may apply.

Reply STOP to opt out of reminder and service texts. Reply START to opt back in. Reply HELP for help, or contact us through our Contact page.

Accepting transactional or service-related texts does not authorize marketing or promotional messages. Any marketing texts require separate, optional consent.

Mobile opt-in information and consent are not sold or shared with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

We share information with service providers that help us operate RemindViaText, including:

• Supabase for authentication and database hosting
• Vonage for sending and receiving SMS
• Stripe for checkout and subscription billing
• Vercel for application hosting and scheduled jobs

We may also disclose information when required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request; to protect the safety, rights, or property of users, the public, or Interviews, LLC; to professional advisers under confidentiality obligations; or in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets.

We do not sell personal information.

RemindViaText may generate short links that display a reminder's title and message and allow certain actions without requiring you to sign in. Anyone who possesses a valid link can use it until the link expires, normally seven days after creation.

You should not share short links with people you do not trust, and you should avoid putting highly sensitive information in reminder titles or messages.

We keep personal information only for as long as needed to provide the service and for legitimate security, billing, dispute, fraud-prevention, and legal needs. Retention periods vary depending on the type of data and our legal obligations.

Expired short links and deleted account or reminder data may remain in backups for a limited period before being overwritten or purged according to our backup practices.

You can:

• Edit or delete reminders in the app
• Reply STOP or START to manage SMS delivery
• Cancel paid subscriptions through Stripe's customer portal
• Request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information through our Contact page

If you request deletion, we will process it within a reasonable period, except for records we must or may keep for security, disputes, fraud prevention, billing, or legal compliance.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional legal rights regarding your personal information. We may need to verify your identity before responding to certain requests.

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

RemindViaText is operated from the United States. Your information is processed in the United States. If you access the service from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.
